News: BIRD & BIRD HIRES LINKLATERS’ COMPETITION PARTNER FOR BRUSSELS PRACTICE

The UK top-20 firm, Bird & Bird, has announced the appointment of Anne Federle as partner in the firm’s EU and competition group.
Federle, who has worked as a partner at Magic Circle firm Linklaters for the past 12 years, brings with her more than 18 years experience of EU and German competition law having been involved in various complex cases before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office, across various industries including telecommunications and media, automotive and healthcare. She will be based in the firm’s Brussels practice, sharing her time between Brussels and Düsseldorf where she will be working along side German competition partner Jörg Witting and his team.
Speaking of the appointment, Bird & Bird’s head of EU and competition group, Jose Rivas, said: “As a German-qualified lawyer with more than 18 years of experience in the Brussels market, Anne is a great fit for our expanding team in Brussels and an excellent complement to our German competition law capabilities.”
